The 18-year-old is currently on a month’s loan at Championship side Portsmouth.
City boss Roberto Mancini sees the youngster as one for the future at Eastlands.
“He’s a talented footballer and a very good young man. I believe he has the ability to become a very important player for Manchester City,” said Mancini.
