Man City striker looking to impress Maradona

Maradona looks set to have settled for Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuain as his duo up front for the World Cup.

Argentina practised with a three-man attack on Saturday.

Tevez said: “If I play with another two forwards I’d be fine because I already did that many times.”

He added: “Diego’s not going to have it easy, it’s going to be hard for him.

“It’s a nice, healthy competition among team mates, it’s competing with the best football’s got.

“You go showing in training that you’re up for playing, then Diego decides who’s in best form to face Nigeria.

“I’m motivated to wear the shirt of the national team.”
