Bridge has been expected to leave City following the arrival of Serbian left-back Aleksandar Kolarov from Lazio earlier this week.
Agents representing Liverpool have approached City regarding a move for the defender, according to the Sunday Mirror.
But City are keen to keep the 29-year-old at the club as they would like two players for every position.
