Man Utd ace admits games against Chelsea and Arsenal are key

Vidic admits United will have to take their chances against the two London sides.

“Our form is getting better,” he said. “We had a few good chances against Valencia and played some good football. We didn’t take all of our chances, but in part of the game we showed some good football.

“In games against Arsenal and Chelsea, you have to keep your focus. There aren’t going to be so many chances. Everything you have, you have to take if you want to win the game. So I hope we will be in good shape and that all our players will be fit.

“I think the Arsenal game is the biggest of the season for us so far, especially when you’re getting to that stage, in December, when it’s likely that a few teams will separate from the rest.

“That’s why it’s such an important game – not just because Arsenal are such big rivals for us. If we can get a good result against them, then we’ll be in a really good position [going to Chelsea].”

“It’s hard to say,” he added, when asked if the games could decide United’s season. “We would definitely have a big advantage if we won these two games. We’d be in a great position. But if you look at the games from the start of the season, you can’t predict anything. All we can do is look at ourselves, take it game by game, and I’m positive about what we can achieve.”
