Rooney was impressed by Muller’s performance for Germany in their opening win against Australia.
He told Sky Sports News: “Muller, I think he is a great player and he got a goal and works hard like he does with Bayern Munich, I was very impressed with him – he played well.
“He showed a lot of pace and composure.”
