Rooney has been struggling with problems in the past six months, including his woeful World Cup display and the British newspaper’s revelations of his dalliances with prostitutes.
The England striker was also ready to leave United at one stage, but ended up signing a new contract with United.
Rooney said: “No not at all. It hasn’t been a distraction to my football because I haven’t played that much, but it has been a distraction.
“I’m just happy it’s all over now and I want to put it behind me and look forward.”
