Ferguson still remembers Joe Cole’s challenge on Cristiano Ronaldo last weekend.
He said: “It was the kind of tackle that can put players out of the game. Unfortunately we have a player who gets these tackles every week from behind.
“Ronaldo doesn’t get any protection and that Joe Cole tackle was an example of it. There is no doubt about that fact that the top players are protected more in Europe than the Premier League.”
