United managed to win 3-1 over Chelsea in the Community Shield on Sunday.
Vidic told Sky Sports: “I believe there will be more (trophies) – this is just the beginning.
“I think we have a good squad and showed today we have energy and showed some hunger.”
Antonio Valencia, Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov scored the goals for United.
Vidic continued: “I think we did well today. Some players who haven’t played a lot pre-season had time to build up their fitness and they did well.
“Dimitar had a lot of pressure last year and we hope this year we will score more goals.”
