“We know we have a duty to entertain the fans,” said Ferdinand. “Once you’ve played for United that’s made very plain to you, that fans expect to be on the edge of their seats.
“The whole heritage of this club is based on attacking football and free-flowing football. We’re aiming to get to that level.”
