Rooney missed training on Tuesday due to a tight hamstring and did not feature in the 4-1 Champions League semi-final win over Schalke on Wednesday.
Evra came on as a second-half substitute against Schalke, but took a knock against the Germans.
“Patrice got a kick,” Ferguson told MUTV. “I was ready to substitute him but he said he was OK.
“Wayne will be all right. I wasn’t prepared to take a risk.”
