Lindegaard believes that the defensive show against the Black Cats was their best this season.
Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand featured together for the first time since the opening day of the season.
“I think we played very well defensively,” said Lindegaard.
“We didn’t let Sunderland have any chances in almost the whole game. It’s maybe the best we’ve played defensively all season, but there’s still room for improvement.
“Obviously the two of them know each other very well and they complement each other very well. The two of them played absolutely amazingly.”
