Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has admitted he is “worried about sluggish” Raphael Varane, following the defeat against Galatasaray on Tuesday.
The French defender has started in each of United’s last three matches following his return from injury and Scholes admits he is worried about how “unfit” Varane is looking.
“I do worry about Varane a bit,” Scholes told TNT Sports.
“I know he’s been one of the very best defenders around, just like Rio was, in that same like at Real Madrid, but I just feel like his legs are looking a little bit sluggish.
“He’s a bit unfit, and I’d be really worried about him.”
