Manchester United have reportedly made an move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Morten Hjulmand.
The Sun reports that United have offered Facundo Pellistri in a swap deal for the Danish midfielder.
But the report claims that Sporting rejected the bid and are holding out for any interested club to trigger Hjulmand’s £69million release clause.
United have watched the 24-year-old midfielder in action ‘at least six times’ so far this season, both in Primeira Liga and Europa League.
Reports have previously linked Pellistri with a move to Spanish side Villarreal.
