News of the World says United are ready to offer Rooney a £170,000-a-week deal when talks starts next February.
The new deal will include a £45,000-a-week image right part as Rooney is to become United’s poster boy.
Barcelona have recently been linked with a move for the England striker, but Rooney has pledged his future to United.
