Nani sustained a deep gash to his shin in the defeat at Liverpool and it was feared he could be out of action for a month.
But United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that the Portuguese winger could return on Tuesday.
Ferguson told the Manchester Evening News: “Nani has had the stitches removed and has a chance for Tuesday.
“He’s done some work on the bike, but the problem is that he hasn’t trained yet.”
