The 20-year-old could be handed his Carlisle debut against Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Evans hopes some eye-catching performances for Carlisle will boost his chances of breaking into the United first team.
Evans said: “There is a huge first-team squad but you have to keep your confidence high and believe you can get there otherwise there’s no point in being at Manchester United.
“I’m keen to make a good impression at Carlisle. Manchester United have people watching players who are out on loan, checking their progress and keeping in contact with how they are getting on in training and how they are coping with the first team.
“Being involved in the international scene and getting some caps for my country has taught me a lot but I want to play every week in a first-team environment.
“Playing every two weeks for the reserves isn’t the same so it’s great to come to Carlisle and get some games.”
