The 28-year-old has been on loan from Spanish side Real Zaragoza this season.
“He’s happy, he considers Italy as his adoptive country from the football and personal level,” explained Matuzalem’s agent Umberto Fusco to Sportmediaset.it.
“Returning to Italy was a thing he welcomed. He found himself particularly well in Rome, both with the club as well as with the environment and the team-mates.
“Unfortunately he had some injuries which limited him, but he would like to tie himself up definitively in a club.
“For him, the loan renewal is not ideal, but especially I don’t know if [Real] Zaragoza would accept this option.
“At the end of his career he wants to be identified with one club.”
