Mexes’ contract at Roma is set to expire next summer, but the Frenchman has been offered a new deal by the Italian side.
“Burdisso came back to Roma and it’s obvious the competition has increased again,” Mexes told France Football.
“I risk playing little and my contract will expire. I am seriously considering whether to renew it or not.
“The officials have already proposed me a four-year extension.
“I will think about it. I am at Roma for seven years.
“If I don’t get enough time in the starting XI in the first half of the season then I may decide against renewing it.”
