Mihajlovic has signed a contract that will keep him with the Elefanti until June 2011.
“Gianluca Atzori has been relieved of the duties as first-team coach,” a statement from the club said as reported by Corriere Della Sera. “We thank him for his hard work and professionalism, and wish him the best with his career.
“Sinisa Mihajlovic is the new coach of Catania.
“The Serbian coach and his assistant Dario Marcolin will be officially presented to the press at 1:00pm tomorrow,” concluded the statement.
