Milner said: “I had a few seasons at Leeds and obviously went through relegation there. It wasn’t nice.
“There’s no comparison with Leeds – it’s two different seasons, two different clubs and it’s still early in the campaign. But the experience of being at Leeds will definitely help me.
“I know that we need to get out of this as quickly as we can and there would be no better way of doing that than by starting with a win at Manchester City.”
