Mourinho is expected to be named new Real Madrid boss.
“The relationship is ended. Now we will see what to do,” Moratti said after his recent discussions with Mourinho.
“The coach’s attitude was that of a person who wants to go to Real Madrid.”
Moratti added: “There’s always hope, but we have to respect the wish of a person who already thinks his task has expired.”
Mourinho is set to have a private meeting with Moratti.
“I prefer to have a personal meeting rather than having others mediate,” said Moratti.
“That meeting has not taken place. It will take place in the next few days.”
