The Italian defender completed his move on Sunday.
“I am really happy with this move and it is a great chance for me,” Motta told Il Corriere Dello Sport.
“I hope I can take full advantage of this and I think it is the most important move of my career.”
Motta has also been linked with Juventus in recent weeks.
