Mourinho does not believe that top nations should be managed by foreign coaches.
The former Chelsea and Inter Milan coach admits he is keen to lead his native Portugal one day.
“I think national teams are: England for the English and Portugal for the Portuguese,” he said.
“I will one day play against England with my Portugal but Portugal has to wait a long time.”
