The 27-year-old has signed a new four-year deal with the club.
“We are happy to keep Naldo an additional year with Werder Bremen. He is an important pillar in our game and has developed into one of the best defenders in the league,” manager Klaus Allofs told the club’s website.
“It’s nice that Naldo made this choice. He has really developed well over the years and it’s fun working with him. And we are happy that we will continue on our way with him,” head coach Thomas Schaaf was quoted as saying.
“Things are going very well for me with Werder. The entire atmosphere made this decision easy. In addition, my family and I really feel very welcome in Bremen,” Naldo said.
