The midfielder has been in discussions with his family and agent Jorge Mendes as he believes he has filled the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo as well as anyone, and if United were to win the Premiership and Champions League this season there would be little else to achieve in English football.
There are no signs he’s unsettled at United but after 4 years and domestic and European success with the Red Devils he’s contemplating whether at 24, playing the best football of his career, this is the right time for a new challenge.
