Fabbrini’s agent, Giuseppe Galli, has confirmed Napoli’s interest in his cleint.
“Diego is a young, talented striker, maybe one of the only few up and coming ones after [Inter striker Mario] Balotelli,” Galli told Marte Sport Live. “The player has captured the interest of Napoli.
“In total, the player would cost €4 million, but I don’t believe that the club would be willing to pay that much for him, despite the undoubted talents of my client.
“What I think will happen is that his playing contract will go into a co-ownership. One team will buy half, and Empoli will keep the other half.
“This way, the club will have an option in the future as to whether it wishes to buy the contract completely. But things now must wait on Empoli, as it is their call.”
Genoa are also keen on the youngster.
