Gary Neville has shared a story from his time at Manchester United, detailing how one teammate amassed more than 160 parking tickets.
The football legend disclosed that Fabien Barthez, known for his antics, once presented a pile of 160 parking citations to the club’s secretary.
Neville discussed footballers habit of parking illegally on his Premier League podcast The Overlap, which he co-hosts Jamie Carragher, Roy Keane, Jill Scott and Ian Wright.
Neville said on the football podcasts: “I think Fabien Barthez had something like 160 parking tickets!
“I always remember going to the general office and there was stacks of parking tickets.
“He just used to bring them in and give them to the general office.”
Neville and Barthez played together at Manchester United between 2000 and 2004, winning two Premier League titles at that time.
