He said: “It is hard for me to analyse Liverpool’s performance but you probably would expect a bit more.
“I didn’t see the win over Manchester United so I don’t know how well they played. We knew we were in for a tough game and we were at them from the start and that proved vital.
“They weren’t scaring the life out of us. We had the game under control. They probably didn’t show the quality but you know that they have it.”
