“I don’t know who has spoken about my future, because I haven’t said anything,” he revealed.
“I have three more years on my contract with Newcastle and I need to say again to the supporters that I didn’t say anything about a move.
“When I was out for four months with an injury, I didn’t speak about my future. I never speak to Turkish journalists, but they seem to know everything.
“I’d like to stay at Newcastle. I’m very happy to play for Newcastle. I like the supporters and I like the city.
“At the moment it’s really hard for me because I’ve been injured for four months. I played the last two international team games and against Arsenal, and I feel confident now.
“Sam is a very good manager. I like him and I’m very happy to play for him. He has said I will have a chance to play when I’m fit, so I have to work very hard to get in condition.”
