Ben Arfa could make his debut against Blackpool.
The 23-year-old is keen to emulate fellow countrymen David Ginola and Laurent Robert at Newcastle.
Ben Arfa told reporters: “I am getting fan mail but unfortunately I don not understand it.
“It has put a smile on my face. It makes me feel I am special to these supporters.
“The most important thing for me is to be efficient on the pitch but football is there for entertainment too.
“It is really important for me to give people pleasure and I hope to do as well as players like Ginola.”
