The Mirror reports that Pardew has been impressed by Sigurdsson’s performances while on loan at Swansea this season.
Pardew has made discreet enquiries about the availability fo the 22-year-old.
Sigurdsson is currently on loan at Swansea from German side Hoffenheim until the end of the season.
Swansea are keen to make the move permanent, but may face competition from the likes of Newcastle.
