The 29-year-old joined Villarreal from Real Sociedad in 2006.
A statement on Villarreal’s official website read: “Villarreal, Besiktas and Nihat Kahveci have reached an agreement for the striker to play in the Turkish team from next season.
“The club want to thank the player for his commitment and dedication and wish him luck in this new stage of his footballing career.”
