The 24-year-old has been out of actions since the goalless draw with Cardiff on 26 October, but will now step up his recovery from a toe injury.
Norwich manager Chris Hughton has confirmed that Van Wolfswinkel will return to training next week and could feature against Swansea on 15 December.
“It is the type of injury that if we push him it could get worse,” said Hughton.
“But he’s pain free at the moment.”
