The 19-year-old joined Forest on a loan deal just minutes before the emergency deadline last night.
Forest boss Billy Davies has revealed that Ramsey’s Wales international team-mate Chris Gunter helped persuade the Arsenal starlet to move to the Championship side.
He said: “Gunter made one or two phone calls, as you can imagine. You’ve got to use every ally you have in this game.
“He was very much influential in trying to persuade Aaron to come here. For that we thank him very much.
“We’re obviously delighted with the quality of player we’ve got. Sometimes you take a flyer and ask some questions – you don’t expect much but we got good feedback and now we’re absolutely delighted.
“It’s all a case of timing and everything has to fit into place. Sometimes you’ve just got to keep your fingers crossed.”
