The League Two club has been without a manager since Ian McParland left the club last week.
Director of football Sven Goran Eriksson is responsible for bringing in a new manager at the club.
“We are on schedule in our search for a new manager,” said chief executive Gary Townsend.
“It is fair to say we have been inundated with applications of a very high standard.
“As we have consistently said, Sven is responsible for this appointment. We are making excellent progress and hope to have a new appointment in place by the end of next week.”
