Notts County only managed a 1-1 draw with Burton Albion at the weekend and ended their 100 per cent home record.
McParland is keen on bringing in at least two new players.
“Ideally, I would like to bring in two or three new players next week. I will ask the questions and we will see what happens,” he said.
“I’ve said to the players that I have problems picking the team these days because there are so many options but I’m still looking to strengthen.
“People are disappointed we have only managed to draw at home, but they have to realise that we’re not going to win three or four nil every week.
“Burton had a couple of chances, but overall I thought we dominated the game. We needed a second goal after Karl Hawley gave us the lead, and when it didn’t come bad defending let them in for the equaliser.”
