He said: “The chairman said he doesn’t want to sell me and I’m happy with that. I’ll approach this January as I have the last two.
“Ever since I joined Preston there’s been speculation but I will just try and keep playing as well as I have. I want to play in the Premiership but I want it to be with Preston.
“We’ve come close – getting to the final and the semi-final.
“Hopefully it will be third time lucky this year.
“It is not nice getting beat so we’ve got to make sure we stay in the top two.
“I’ve got three in three and it’s 10 for the season with two for the Under-21s, so I’m well on the way to my target of 20.
“I hope I can continue it against Derby. The game will have a bit of an edge to it but we want a result to keep us right up there.”
