Dickov wants to bring in the Baggies striker on loan for the rest of the season.
“A couple of years ago Reuben was going to be the next big thing when West Brom signed him from Rotherham for money,” Dickov told the club’s official website.
“They bought potential and he has done reasonably well, though he was never going to walk straight into their first team.
“I watched him two or three times earlier this season when he was on loan at Walsall and he was a threat, has raw pace and scores goals.
“He fits the bill what we are looking for and we believe he will be good for us as we will be good for him.”
