Owen has been out with a knee injury since last June.
Roeder said: “There is a distinct possibility he could figure. If the training goes well for him – and I do not see why it should not – I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Michael Owen involved on Monday night.
“If it is not to be, then I will be as confident as I can be for the following game, which is the last home game of the season against Blackburn. That would give our supporters a chance to see Michael Owen again.”
