Zamparini told Radio Radio TV: “I think it will be impossible to keep our key players [such as Andrea Barzagli, Fabio Simplicio, Amauri and David Di Michele].
“The big clubs in Serie A offer wages which are higher than ours. We have set a salary cap and changing the system now might compromise the equilibrium of the dressing room.
“Palermo cannot be like Juve, Inter or Milan.
“We are working hard to build a side which can be compared to Sevilla, ready to take advantage of the mistakes made by the larger clubs and hopeful of winning a title in the next 10 years.
“We must behave like Roma and Fiorentina. I would like Palermo to play next year’s championship like Roma are playing this season.”
