Panucci claims Roma coach Luciano Spalletti does not respect him.
The veteran refused to sit on the bench for the clash with Napoli on Sunday and was sent to the stands.
“I have made my decision, I’m leaving Roma, as Spalletti does not respect me,” announced Panucci on Sky Italia.
“I spent eight splendid years in Rome and I have not yet contacted any other club.”
“Unfortunately, this is the rapport between Christian and the Coach,” said Panucci’s agent, Oscar Damiani.
“I will try to find him a new club and at least a solution to end the season. If he does have to go, I will have to work to find an alternative.
“Roma have to be willing to release him, though, then at the end of the season he will be free to make his decisions.”
