The new deal will keep the 23-year-old at the Galpharm Stadium until the summer of 2014.
“I’ve signed an extended deal here because I see the ambition and where the club wants to go; that made the decision easy for me,” Peltier told the club’s official website.
“I settled in really quickly and had a good season, so I’m looking to build on that.
“In terms of age I am still a young lad myself, but in terms of experience I’ve played quite a bit and I want to help other people along the way too.
“I wouldn’t have signed a new contract for such a long period if I didn’t think we could succeed.
“I have personal ambitions as well, which is to play at as high a level as I can, and I think I can do that with this club.”
