The Reds boss Rafael Benitez is ready to offload the winger in January in a bid to cut their losses.
The 25-year-old joined Liverpool two years ago, but is a gree agent at the end of this season.
Liverpool have can extend Pennant’s contract automatically by an additional 12 months if he makes more than 15 appearances for the club this season, according to the Guardian.
Pennant almost joined Stoke in a £ 4 million deal in August. It is believed Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Ince would be keen on signing the winger.
