Pique left Barcelona and joined Manchester United as a 17-year-old in 2004, but last summer the 22-year-old returned to the Spanish giants.
“I would like to thank United for the support they gave me,” Pique is quoted as saying in The Sun.
“I will always carry United in my heart. To play them in the final would be perfect.
“I had great friends in Manchester. I played with many world-class players and became good friends with Cristiano Ronaldo, Nemanja Vidic and Nani.”
