LuaLua has been out for seven weeks with a thigh injury.
Redknapp said: “Lualua is a player who is capable of opening the door. In a split second he can create something out of nothing. Against Charlton was a perfect example of when we needed Lualua. He can suddenly turn a game with a bit of magic. He scares defenders.
“We didn’t have the guile to break down Charlton. We couldn’t find a way through.
“We need someone to run at people with pace, to open up doors. We’ve not really got that. That’s why we need Lualua to play. We’ve been working him hard, to get his fitness levels up. He had his own sessions after the game on Saturday and again on Sunday.
“He came in specially on Sunday for a session with our fitness coach, and had a tough workout.”
