He says that Evra’s complaints about Luis Suarez, who was charged with racially abusing the Frenchman this weekend, were pathetic.
Suarez is alleged to have called Evra the N-word, though in Spanish, Suarez’s native tongue, this word does not have the same meaning it does in English and French.
“I believe Luis Suárez, it’s simple,” Poyet said. “I played football for seven years in Spain and was called everything because I was from South America, and I never went out crying like a baby, like Patrice Evra, saying that someone had said something to me.”
