Pozzo happy D’Agostino is staying

The 27-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to rivals Juventus this summer.

“The boy has understood that Udinese did everything they could to complete a sale. We have a moral objective to try and accommodate a switch when a big club comes knocking for one of our players,” Pozzo told Telenordest.

Juventus decided to sign Felipe Melo from Fiorentina in a £23million deal, instead of D’Agostino.

“However, Juventus made a strange decision given that they went and bought a player who has nothing in common with D’Agostino,” Pozzo said referring to Melo.

“Gaetano is an intelligent lad and he knows that the only path forward is to continue putting in the performances with us. Only then will he remain front page news,” Pozzo concluded.
