Berg is currently on a one-year loan deal at PSV Eindhoven from Bundesliga side Hamburg.
“Jonathan Reis got the chance to prove his worth during my suspension and he’s done a good job. I’ve been warming the bench ever since. This is a very frustrating situation for me,” said Berg to Voetbal International.
“I always do my utmost on the training pitch and I feel like I deserve a starting berth. I didn’t come here to warm the bench, but that’s my current situation. All I can do is continue to work hard on the training pitch and score in the playing time I get.
“I haven’t hard anything about returning to Hamburg during the winter break. I’ll stay here until the end of the season as far as I know. I’m not giving up just yet and I’m hopeful of getting another chance in the near future.”
