The 24-year-old has been offered a new three-and-a-half-year contract with the Cherries.
Pugh told BBC Radio Solent: “It’s very flattering that the club want to offer me a new deal and a real compliment.
“I’m going to discuss it with my agent and my family and I’m sure everything will turn out for the best.”
He added: “It shows that I’ve been doing well but I also feel there’s much more to come from me.
“The club have shown real ambition with their signings so we’ll just have to see what happens.”
Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury is confident he can keep Pugh at the club.
“Marc has been great for us. He scores goals, creates goals and works really hard for the team,” he said.
“There’s not many wingers who have nine goals to their name before mid-December.
“He is the sort of player I’d like to have at the club for a long time. We wouldn’t be interested in selling him.”
