The Guardian reports that QPR are hoping to secure the signing of Cisse from Lazio in the next few days.
Rangers are keen to strengthen their attack before the January transfer window closes on Tuesday.
Rangers would have to pay around £4million to sign the 30-year-old on a permanent basis, but the striker could even join on a loan deal.
